Forklift Operator, Leamington ON

JOB TITLE: Forklift Driver
Reports to: Plant Manager & Supervisor
 
JOB PURPOSE AND SUMMARY: Responsibilities include but not limited to, maintain weld, assembly and paint lines with prepped material, remove and empty scrap/garbage bins, organize product inventory in an organized and safe manor, load and unload inbound and outbound trucks, converse with truck drivers to ensure the correct load is being delivered, operate forklift in a safe and professional manor and other duties as required.
           
SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
  • Maintain weld, assembly and paint operations by removing stock, supplying stock in-process, good for various production functions (i.e jigs, fixtures, tubing, expanded metal), assist in line set up when jobs switch over
  • Load and unload inbound and outbound trucks
  • Converse with truck drivers, making sure they have the proper documentation for the load they are picking up, if not applicable consult supervisor.
  • Operate forklift in safe and efficient manor
  • Conduct pre-start inspections on forklift prior to start of the shift.
  • Must be able to pass forklift training through internal training.

CMM Operator - Leamington, ON

                                         
Essex Weld Solutions is growing. We are looking for 1 full time CMM operator at our Leamington location.
 
Job Description:
 
Under the direction of the Plant Manager, the CMM Operator runs programs to use on CMM for dimensional inspection of manufactured product. Uses CMM and other Monitoring and Measuring Equipment (M&ME) to inspect product for dimensional conformance according to production schedule. Reads and interprets Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) data. Complies with internal quality system, business policies, and regulatory requirements; supports business goals and objectives.

Duties:
 
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
  • Maintain and verify CMM programs used for the measurements of manufactured and supplied parts Analyze drawings, 3D models, and specifications while accurately interpreting the requirements contained therein
  • Work closely with Program Manager, CMM Programmer and Engineering staff to determine and address CMM requirements. Retain, sort and organize all programs created to ensure they are readily available and saved to the current revision
  • Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintains them over time
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency
  • Assist and support manufacturing/production personnel with various inspection activities
  • Inspection support covers First Articles, In Process, outside machining processes and final dimensional verifications.
  • Analyze quality data, identify problem areas, and assist in resolving processes or method that affects quality.
  • Reads and understands blueprints, travelers/routers, and work instructions including GD&T data on machine prints
  • Use CMM to perform in process or final layout on components and analyze features to GD&T requirements
  • Works with and manipulates CAD models
  • Inspects, maintains, and logs preventative maintenance on equipment needed for inspection and machining
  • Be responsible for First Articles (approval & written sign off to proceed to production) when there are no CMM projects to work on
  • Requires minimal supervision to plan and schedule workload according to production schedule to meet manufacturing needs
  • Cleans work area, tools, and equipment at end of shift
  • Attend all required training

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma required, and additional community college or trade school education preferred

  • Understanding of GD&T is mandatory and must be capable of inspecting complex parts against drawings that use GD&T symbols and how to apply those requirements to create and inspect features
  • Ability to use computer programs to create inspection reports
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, writing and communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer

Shipper/Receiver

JOB PURPOSE AND SUMMARY:
Responsibilities include but not limited to, Manage shipping receiving area in regards to putting material in proper locations, putting consumables in proper location, use barcode scanner to ensure material is tracked, work with Shipping Department to ensure paperwork is ready for the deliveries/pickups, operate forklift in a safe and professional manor, present yourself in a professional manor, and other duties as required.
SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
  • Maintain internal record-keeping systems
  • Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged goods
  • Ensure containers and crates are assembled, good and are packed to be shipped identifying information and shipping instructions are prepared
  • Ensure all goods are unpacked and routed to appropriate storage areas
  • Use bar-coding system to enter, receive and track all materials
  • Load and unload inbound and outbound trucks
  • Converse with truck drivers, making sure they have the proper documentation for the load they are picking up, if not applicable consult supervisor.
  • Operate forklift in safe and efficient manor
  • Conduct pre-start inspections on forklift prior to start of the shift.
  • Must be able to pass forklift training through internal training.

JOB TITLE: Powder Coat Production Painter

JOB PURPOSE AND SUMMARY:
Responsibilities include but not limited to, paint the product with a spray gun, keeping paint booth in good working condition, keeping the spray gun clean and perform maintenance on the equipment in the paint area, follow customer specs and paint processes, and other duties as required.

  • Follow customer specifications for the paint process in regards to each shipping container.
  • Complete quality inspections and paint tests on racks prior to shipment
  • Paint, stencil or touch up the product before it goes onto the truck

Responsibilities include but not limited to, using manual and automatic tools, measuring critical dimensions, working in a fast paced environment, calculate the best usage of material, and other duties as required.

  • Perform first off checks to make sure parts match/align to prints

  • Read and interpret blue prints and process sheets

Supervisor - Prep

JOB TITLE:Supervisor - Prep Fabrication
Reports to: Department Manager & Plant Manager

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
  • MANDATORY: Ability to operate and train the following machines: Brake press, Saw, Iron Worker, Milling Machine, Shear and other prep related machinery.
  • Ensure jobs to hourly employees in a prompt organized fashion
  • Set goals and objectives with hourly employees and monitor them
  • Continuous monitoring of all facets in the manufacturing process with emphasis on improving quality, efficiency and safety
  • Ensure all employees are provided with the necessary tools to accomplish their task on the job
  • Ensure all problems are identified, logged and corrected prior to completing the production run
  • Ensure all facets of the process adhere to OHSA standards & Essex Weld Solutions safety standards and all rules and regulations are enforced, and corrected.
  • Ensure all employees are trained, and adhere to the H&S rules and regulations
  • Perform workplace inspections
  • Provide feedback on a regular basis regarding performance
  • Corrective and/or disciplinary action when required
