JOB PURPOSE AND SUMMARY:To provide high standard of administrative support required to maintain and develop Quality systems. The successful candidate will report to the Plant Manager / Quality Management System Lead and assist in the handling, processing, issuance and maintenance of project and Quality Management System documentation in accordance with agreed procedures.

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
  • Develop/ maintain internal quality system policies, procedures, work instructions, forms and documents.
  • Coordinate production with manufacturing plants, and develop solutions for any related issues (ie. QA/QC etc). Support each plant with their internal quality system.
  • Administrative operation of the corrective action system (TGR/TGW/CAR/8D).

Forklift Operator, Leamington ON

JOB TITLE: Forklift Driver
Reports to: Plant Manager & Supervisor
 
JOB PURPOSE AND SUMMARY: Responsibilities include but not limited to, maintain weld, assembly and paint lines with prepped material, remove and empty scrap/garbage bins, organize product inventory in an organized and safe manor, load and unload inbound and outbound trucks, converse with truck drivers to ensure the correct load is being delivered, operate forklift in a safe and professional manor and other duties as required.
           
SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
  • Maintain weld, assembly and paint operations by removing stock, supplying stock in-process, good for various production functions (i.e jigs, fixtures, tubing, expanded metal), assist in line set up when jobs switch over
  • Load and unload inbound and outbound trucks
  • Converse with truck drivers, making sure they have the proper documentation for the load they are picking up, if not applicable consult supervisor.
  • Operate forklift in safe and efficient manor
  • Conduct pre-start inspections on forklift prior to start of the shift.

JOB TITLE: Prototype Welder/Fitter
Reports to: Plant Manager & Supervisor
 
JOB PURPOSE AND SUMMARY: Responsibilities include but not limited to, building prototypes in a timely manor, building quality jigs and fixtures for production, reading blueprints and interpreting them accurately, prepping own material by blueprints to produce the finished product, working with customer to confirm and validate finished product before moving to production, and other duties as required.

  • Lay out, fit and weld one rack at a time from start to finish (Prep to steel only completion)

  • Train/Schedule training for all hourly employees, Supervisors and Plant Manager to adhere to OHSA standards (all training must be documented on Employee Training Matrix)
  • Perform workplace inspections along with JHSC worker rep
  • Ensure that workplace inspections and quarterly JHSC meetings are conducted as per OHSA
  • Maintain Employee Health & Safety Board Information
  • Analyze WSIB and Health and Safety Trends
  • Along with JHSC Worker Rep make recommendations to employer
  • Maintain and train Employees in Pure Data Flow as required
  • Complete Production Reports
  • Match labour requirements to Operations and HR
  • Complete KPI’s for Company
  • Be available for overtime as required
  • Answering the phone and directing enquiries to the appropriate personnel
  • Present a professional image of Essex Weld Solutions, and a personal commitment to the safety and well-being of all employees.
  • Participate in continuous improvements, 5S and 8 Waste initiatives, including and not limited to processes, production flow etc.
  • Perform all other duties as required
  • Mandatory cross training required, training will be provided.

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Postsecondary diploma in Human Resources Required
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Minimum 3 years related experience
  • Ability to take constructive criticism
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must be able to walk shop floor often
